Grupo Lamosa Announces Executive Organizational Changes
GRUPO LAMOSA, S.A.B. de C.V. (“LAMOSA”), hereby informs that, in accordance with the Chief Executive Officer succession process defined with the support of the Corporate Practices Committee and approved by the Board of Directors of Grupo Lamosa, effective January 1, 2027, Mr. Federico Toussaint Elosúa, current Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board, will step down from his role as CEO and will continue solely as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Toussaint has held the CEO position since 1992, and under his leadership, Grupo Lamosa has evolved from a company primarily present in Mexico and the United States to one with operations in 9 countries and commercial relationships in more than 130 countries. During his tenure as CEO, the company redefined its strategy, moving from a broad portfolio within the construction sector—including participation in real estate—to focusing on tile and adhesive businesses, with the goal of becoming a leader in the markets in which it operates.
Under his leadership, the Company completed the acquisitions of Perdura, Niasa, Porcelanite, Cerámica San Lorenzo, Eurocerámica, Roca Tiles, and most recently, Baldocer in Spain. Additionally, four years ago, in pursuit of diversification, Fanosa was acquired, a company that is a leader in construction insulation and offers strong growth opportunities. Today, Grupo Lamosa is the second-largest ceramic producer in the world and the market leader in Mexico in the adhesives and insulation businesses. The Company has more than 11,000 employees, revenues of US$2 billion, and operations in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala, and Spain.
Effective January 1, 2027, Mr. Jorge Aldape Luengas, current Head of the Adhesives and Insulation Business, will be appointed Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Lamosa.
Mr. Aldape has a 42-year career at Grupo Lamosa. He holds a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from ITESM, a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance, also from ITESM, and has completed a Senior Management Program at IPADE. Since 1994, he has served as Head of the Adhesives Business, overseeing Crest, Perdura, and Niasa, as well as the insulation and packaging business, Fanosa. Under his leadership, the adhesives business has consolidated its position as a market leader in adhesives, stuccos, and specialized construction products in Mexico, and has expanded into Guatemala and Chile in this product line.
Mr. Jorge Touché Zambrano, current Chief Administration and Finance Officer, will leave the Company effective April 30, 2026. We thank him for his contributions throughout his career at the Company and wish him success in his future endeavors.
Effective May 1 of this year, Mr. José Carlos Pons de la Garza will join the Company as Chief Administration and Finance Officer of Grupo Lamosa.
Mr. Pons holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Management from ITESM, as well as an MBA from EGADE Business School. He brings nearly 30 years of experience at Alfa, having served as Chief Financial Officer of Alpek from 2018 to 2026, and previously as Vice President of Strategic Planning at Nemak, where he held several executive positions. These included Head of the South America Business Unit and Strategic Planning Manager. He was also responsible for key strategic initiatives aimed at driving growth and strengthening Nemak’s competitive position through acquisitions, partnerships, and organic investments.
